Cheekbone Augmentation
This procedure is a very interesting and sometimes essential modality to recontour part of the upper face giving it a more triangular appearance. Along with face and neck lifts, a well as blepharoplasty . . . enhancing the prominence of the cheekbones produces an extraordinarily aesthetic effect that is received in a most positive fashion by nearly all patients. We have been very happy at The Pavilion for Cosmetic Surgery with our patient response.

Essentially, there are two methods, which can be employed to augment or enlarge the cheekbones. The first is by an implant usually made of a hardened acrylic substance that is placed in through the mouth and on each side. Although, we have used this method many, many times in the past, we are now refraining from its employment because of a second alternative procedure we have been employing with very positive results. Namely, what we now do is remove some unwanted fat from one portion of your body . . . then centrifuge it and enhance the cheekbones on both sides through fat injection from your own body. This has produced a very welcomed response from our patients and we are thrilled with the results.
